Malaysians now face the prospect of another general election mired in bias and fraud. It is a matter of urgency that the Election Commission and the Federal Government take steps to restore the faith of the public in our most basic democratic right.
With the general election looming, there is no better time to demand substantive reforms to our electoral system. What kinds of reform should we have? What other measures could or need to be put into place to create a more inclusive electoral system and a free and fair election? Would this work? Why, or why not?
